Elian Gonzalez Should Stay In The US free essay sample

Elian Gonzalez Should Stay In The U.S. Essay, Research Paper Dear Rosa Delauro, After reading many articles in the newspapers and magazines that all province, 6 twelvemonth old Elian Gonzalez has been in the center of an international tug-of-war since he was found on Thanksgiving Day. Clinging to an interior tubing at sea for two yearss floating after his household and him were seeking to get away from Cuba for freedom. I have decided that it is the right thing for small Elian to remain in the United States. The phone rings: # 8220 ; Your 6-year old boy has merely been found in the ocean, shipwrecked, cleaving to an interior tubing. His female parent drowned. He is now in Miami hospital. # 8221 ; Do you react? # 8220 ; I? ll be at that place every bit shortly as I possibly can. # 8221 ; or # 8220 ; Send him back to me. I demand it. # 8221 ; Elian? s biological male parent Juan Gonzalez was asked once more and once more. Why he didn? T go to Miami to see his boy. He didn? T answer the inquiry all he demanded was that his boy be returned to him, eventually endangering the Miami relatives with whom Elian is remaining with. Juan says his boy is the topic of non merely nobbling but besides child maltreatment. If your boy was kidnapped and abused, and the U.S. lawyer general publically said you were able to come see him. Would you remain home? Well Juan Gonzalez is remaining place. Why does he miss true fondness for the his boy? Is he one of those political simpletons so coloured with Fidelism that he would instead allow his abused boy fail than give the slightest political progress to the U.S. to see him. Should Elian be trusted to such a adult male like his male parent? Juan lacks the abilities to supply even the rudimentss for Elian. That is, nutrient, security, justness, freedom and the right to be happy. I think that Elian? s male parent should non be trusted with his boy because he can? t even come to the U.S. to see how his boy is. If any adult male in at that place right head were able to go forth Cuba to come see their kid they would drop of all time thing for them. Elian shouldn? T be trusted with a adult male who demands his boy be brought back to Cuba and can? t give him nutrient, security, justness, freedom and the right to be happy. When Elian was asked if he wanted to be with his male parent he said # 8220 ; He cares for his male parent but he would wish his male parent to be here with him. # 8221 ; The Miami cousins said they are making more than giving life to the deceasing wants of Elian? s female parent. She risked, and gave, her cubic decimeter ife to convey him to freedom. They insisted they could give Elian a better life than his male parent could in Cuba. # 8220 ; I was suprized because I ever thought this was a topographic point of autonomy and they are non allowing him maintain the autonomy, # 8221 ; said the cousin. They have brought Elian to Disney World, celebrated Christmas in the U.S. and enrolled him is school. They are giving the male child a life better than his male parent can. If Elian is raised here in the U.S. he would he liberate to travel. If he were raised in Cuba he wouldn? Ts even be allowed to mean go forthing. He would be a kid of the province. Congress has it right, allow the hapless small posting male child citizenship. # 8220 ; American citizenship is a badge of freedom, a licence to liberty, an infliction # 8221 ; said the cousin. There is hungriness in Cuba. # 8220 ; It? s a offense to direct him back, there is nutrient here. # 8221 ; Said Melba. There is non adequate medical specialty. What about the small boys instruction? # 8220 ; If we send him back to Cuba, we are allowing Castro have what he wants, and Castro is a really evil adult male # 8221 ; said Melba. Juan Gonzalez should desire his male child to turn up in the United States were his female parent died for him. Elian? s female parent gave her life for the freedom of her boy. # 8220 ; Today? s determination violates her desires for Elian and alternatively delivers him to a state where an oppressive manager does non allow hope and where people lack the most basic human rights # 8221 ; said John. Expecting for Clinton? s reaching, a group of people yelled through loud hailers, # 8220 ; Elian, we are with you. The people are with you. # 8221 ; They waved marks that said # 8220 ; We want Elian in the USA, # 8221 ; # 8220 ; Freedom from Cuba, # 8221 ; and # 8220 ; Down with Tyranny. # 8221 ; Elian is still a babe he should be allowed to populate in the United States and have freedom that is what his female parent wanted him to hold. Migual Gonzalez said that the male child is non traveling back to a drab island prison. Elian? s female parent died for the male child to enjoy freedom and justness ; so he could be able to prosecute felicity, to grow as an person and to be respected as such. His female parent died for his hereafter. There utilizing Elian as a plaything and Fidel Castro is stating # 8220 ; He? s mine non yours. # 8221 ; To them this is about contending Castro non about the well being of the male child. Elian will turn up to put on the line his life at the Florida Strait or to decompose in a political prison. That? s adequate ground to maintain him in the United States. Thank you for taking your clip to read this missive.
